Going through (almost) every loss the Saints had

stevie-wonder-saints-fanHello friends! Today we will talk not about the Superbowl, but the Saints 2016 season. We won’t talk about the whole season, we will just talk about some of their losses and how they lost.

P.S. I couldn’t do a blog on Friday, I was sick and had the flu. I had nothing to write about as the Pro Bowl sucks.

(The Super Bowl preview is coming on Saturday)

If everything had gone right for them, the Saints would have gone 14-2, be No.1 seed, and make the playoffs. I’m going over 7 of the 9 losses the Saints had.

Week 1 vs Raiders

Final score 35-34

Lots of people recall the call to go for it, but I recall the terrible pass interference call on 4th down. Raiders had the ball inside Saints territory, down 34-27, Derek Carr threw an uncatchable ball. If the penalty was not called, the Saints would have won the game

Week 2 vs Giants

Final score 17-13

If the field goal in the first half went as planned and not blocked, the Saints would have won the game 16-10.

Week 3 vs Falcons

Final score 45-32

Saints played awful this game, but if Drew Brees had thrown a touchdown inside the Falcons own 5 in stead of a pick 6, the Saints would have won the game 39-38.

Week 6 vs Chiefs

Final score 27-21

If Mark Ingram had not fumbled the ball inside the Chiefs 5 yard line and scored a touchdown, The Saints would have won the game 28-27.

Week 10 vs Broncos

Final score 25-23

We all know what happened here. Well if you don’t…if the Saints extra point was not blocked and returned for a 2 point conversion, the Saints would have won the game 24-23.

Week 11 vs Panthers

Final score 23-20

If the field goal at the end of the half wasn’t blocked, the Saints would have won the game 23-13

Week 17 vs Falcons

Final score 32-38

The same exact thing as the first Falcons game except the Falcons didn’t get a pick 6. If the pick didn’t happen, the Saints would have won the game 39-38.

To all you Sean Payton  goners, it wasn’t the coaching, it was the dumb mistakes by players, refs, and blocked field goals, oh so many blocked field goals.

Well that’s all for today’s blog. Now you see why the Saints were bad

Hope you have a great day and have a good Superbowl!

NFL Conference Championship preview

74906900

Welp, we’re finally here, the conference championship games!  We’ve been waiting all season long for these games. Let’s hope they are actually close.

This time, I’ll be picking who I think will win, and who I want to win.

P.S… if I pick against your team, please don’t get butt hurt, it’s my opinion and my picks… (OK Atlanta fans?)

NFC

Packers @ Falcons (how dare I type that) (aka Slackers vs Dirty Birds)

Last weekend, I picked against both these teams…I was wrong.  The Packers are the traditional power, but the Falcons have a better team.

Pick: Falcons

Who I want: Packers

AFC

Steelers @ Patriots (aka Peelers vs Deflatriots)

The Pats destroyed the Texans (as expected)  and the Steelers beat the Chiefs somehow. This will be a close game, but I think we all know who will win this one.

Pick: Pats

Who I want: It really doesn’t matter, Pats are winning the super bowl.

Well that’s all for this blog. Let’s see if I do better on my picks this time…

Divisional Playoff Preview and Picks

texans-meme

Hello friends! Welcome back to JoBo Football! This weekend’s got a lot in store for us NFL fans. But forget the cheesy intro, let’s get right into it!

AFC

Houston @ New England (a.k.a. Spoilers vs the Deflatriots )

The Texans got lucky that Derek Carr got injured but now they face the AFC powerhouse, the New England Patriots. The Texans WILL NOT win this game, they’ll get lucky if they even make it close.

Prediction: Pats 35-13

Pittsburgh @ Kansas City (a.k.a. Peelers vs the Leafs)

The Steelers played a great game against Miami and have experience in the playoffs, but so do the Chiefs. If this game was anywhere but Arrowhead, Pittsburgh might win, but this one’s in Kansas City. It will be a close one, but I think we have our winner

Prediction: Chiefs 27-23

NFC

Seattle @ Atlanta (a.k.a. Sadhawks vs the Dirty Birds)

These are both good teams, and this will be a close game. Seattle won this game earlier in the regular season. Atlanta’s offense may be high powered, but with a stout defense and a good offense of their own, the Seahawks can win this game

Prediction: Hawks 42-39

Green Bay @ Dallas (a.k.a. The Slackers vs The Cowgirls)

Green Bay, coming off a win vs the Giants, are on fire! And now, they are facing the Cowboys and the Dak attack. Will the Cowboys get the expected win, or will they choke yet again (or Dez may never catch that ball)?

Prediction: Cowgirls 30-24

Well that will do it for this episode. I hope you enjoyed this blog and I will see you next time!

TEXANS WILL GO TO THE SUPER BOWL (to watch…not to play)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

National Championship Game Review

clemson-fans-be-like

Hello random web user! Welcome to JoBo Football blogs! This is my first blog, but forget the intro, let’s get right into it.

P.S. I’m a LSU/Saints fan, so if i talk bad about your team, (Alabama, Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Falcons) etc., then that’s why.

The 2016 college football season was a great year. Upsets, good games, etc.

But most of all, the ending was perfect!

The college football playoff featured 4 teams. Alabama, Clemson, Ohio state (should have been Penn state), and Washington. Alabama beat Washington, and Clemson destroyed Ohio state.

The National Championship featured a rematch between Alabama and Clemson.

Last year they faced off in a great game (my family cheered for Alabama, such shame), and Alabama won 45-40.

This year was different, especially the end (I watched just the fourth quarter).

Clemson scored with 5 minutes to go, leading 28-24. Then Alabama came right back and scored a touchdown making it 31-28.

Then, the best thing in the world happened. After a spectacular catch and a 15 yard penalty (bet Saban was happy about that) Clemson was on the 2 yard line with 5 seconds on the clock. Dashaun Watson threw a 2 yard touchdown with one second to go.

My heart filled with joy *sniffs*.

“Saban’s best team” isn’t the best team now is it?

Well that’s what i have to say about it, thank you for viewing this blog!

This is the start of a dynasty my friends!

See you next time and GEAUX TIGERS!
